A versatile musician and conductor, Steve holds a Bachelors degree from Old Dominion University, a Masters degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Doctorate from the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati.   Recently retired as the Fine Arts Coordinator of the Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Steve continues to perform, write, and record music in a variety of styles and venues.

When not on stage with national recording artists, The Original Rhondels, Steve performs jazz, popular, and classical music with ensembles such as the Virginia Wind Symphony, the Olde James River Jazz Band, 2 for Fun, and the Walter Noona Quintet.   Steve is featured as guest conductor for many school and professional wind ensembles including the Tidewater Winds Professional Concert Band.
